The DJ was very friendly and easy to work with. We picked only a few songs to have NOT played at our wedding. I attended a wedding reception at the Lake Windsor Country Club on Saturday, November 5. The DJ was Marc Lovicott. He was dressed very nice and acted very professional.
He did an excellent job! I have been to my fair share of wedding receptions- and the DJ makes or breaks how long people stick around. Obviously there was a mix of many generations- but he played music that got a good size crowd dancing- he kept people dancing- not an easy task. He always announced when he was going to slow it down , but then picked up the pace again. I am over 50 and was dancing with my twenty something daughters to songs I have never heard before- but loved every minute of it!
I also appreciated that the music wasn't too loud (that age thing again!), but it isn't any fun if you are sitting at a table and can not have a conversation with your table mates.
There was still a large amount of (perspiration soaked) people dancing when Marc announced he had to shut down at midnight. A great time was had by all!

Just what we wanted. Tom Lemke, our DJ,  got the crowd dancing the entire night. He kept people happy and knew what songs the crowd would enjoy. He was the best DJ we've ever seen at any event! Juke Box Bandstand is so personal and you can fill out everything online- complete with toasts, songs to walk in to, and even a playlist. REALLY recommend this company. It's worth it and will make your reception a success!

My husband and I found Juke Box Bandstand on the Internet as we are both from Madison but currently live in Chicago and we were planning our wedding from out of town.  The staff was very responsive with our email correspondence which was important.  We met with the manager in person on one of our trips home and after meeting us and after we put our requests in their online profile she said she would match us with a great DJ.  I was a little worried with not meeting the actual DJ before the reception but she reassured me that their DJs have been there a long time and are very experienced!  The form that they have you fill out online is great!  They lay out the entire reception for you and make it real easy to make yes/no choices, put people's names in and also add any personal touches you want.   
When I arrived at the reception the DJ, Todd, sought out the people he needed to.  He came back and found me in the bride room to ask me some last minute questions/details.  I told him who was important and their names and descriptions-in which he remembered everyone's name all night long!  I even made last minute first dance changes and he was happy to do it!  He checked with me and the groom on details of everything and the speeches and even played songs impromptu style that really added to the experience!  I think he even asked to get us something to drink at one point, what a great guy!!!  We did a last minute decision on the grand march and he came up with a song and idea with us to make it perfect!  
We had a lot of crazy requests from guests as well as from me and the groom on the pre-wedding survey we filled out and our DJ played everything we wanted and nothing we didnt want and really played to the crowd-when to play fast or slow songs, etc.  We checked the boxed for a 'very outgoing DJ' and we got one!! :) 
After our meeting, we didn't have to worry about them getting in touch with the reception place or setting up/tearing down.  It all went seamlessly and was taken care of-out of sight, out of mind, which any couple planning their wedding can be grateful for! 
Overall, we were so happy with Juke Box Bandstand and would recommend their services to anyone!  Thanks so much for helping to make our wedding so much fun!!    :)
